From October 2006 through February 2008 the Alloksys Life Sciences BV (Netherlands, www.alloksys.eu) was the sponsor of a clinical phase II trial establishing the safety of intravenously administrated alkaline phosphatase in patients undergoing coronary artery bypass grafting (CABG) surgery with cardio-pulmonary bypass (CBP). Efficacy, defined as reduction of pro-inflammatory responses compared to the placebo group patients, was shown. Subsequent studies are in preparation.E.G.F. | |

14.12.2007 : Der klinische Teil der deutsch-österreichischen Multizenter-Studie zur Sicherheit und Verträglichkeit der Dreifachthrombozytenspende wurde beendet. Von 426 Spendern wurden 2273 Apheresen erfasst. Im speziellen Teil der Studie wurden Daten zur Regulation der Thrombopoese nach intensivierter Thrombozytenspende untersucht. Beim Jahreskongres der DGTI 2007 konnte der Studienleiter PD Dr.med. Hans-Gert Heuft, Hannover, präliminär eine breite Akzeptanz des getesteten Verfahrens bei gesunden Spendern bei insgesamt guter Verträglichkeit berichten. Die Studie steht unter der Verantwortung der 'Sektion Präparative und therapeutische Hämapherese' der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Transfusionsmedizin und findet die Unterstützung der einschlägigen Unternehmen (Baxter, Fresenius, Gambro und Haemonetics). 28.9.2007 Op 28 oktober 2007 heeft CardiaMed B.V. zijn CE ontvangen , voor de verkoop van de CardiaMed hartklep. Deze hartklep is ontwikkeld in Rusland , waarvan er al veel meer dan 10.000 stuks met succes zijn geimplanteerd. Voor de toelating van onze hartklep werd nog een groot clinische onderzoek uitgevoerd. 28.9.2007 On October 28, 2007 the Medical Engineering Company `MedEng´, Penza, and thereupon the CardiaMed B.V., Veghel, received the CE mark for their prosthetic heart valve. The ring as well as the two leaflets of this device are made of monolithic isotropic pyrolitic carbon. With no pivots on the leaflets the two leaflets rotate around the central axis of the valve housing. Although more than 10.000 prostheses have already implanted, a clinical study has been performed well in compliance with the standard ISO 5840:2005. E.G.F. | |
